And They Say There Are No Original Ideas In Hollywood

Back in 2008, I covered  and reviewed “Repo! The Genetic Opera”, an innovative and edgy rock opera released by Lionsgate (starring among others, Paris Hilton, directed by Darren Lynn Bousman from the Saw franchise, and written by Darren Smith and Terrance Zdunich). The premise was that in the future, the toxins in our environment would give us all organ failure and consequently, we would all have to purchase livers, kidneys and hearts to stay alive. When consumers could no longer make the expensive payments on their organ purchases, Repo Men would come and repossess the organs with dire results.

On March 19th, 2010, Universal Pictures will release “Repo Men” starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker, and the plot similarities are a bit to close to the original, “Repo! The Genetic Opera”. I know there’s nothing new under the sun, especially in Hollywood, but this reeks of intellectual property theft. The images on the left are from “Repo! The Genetic Opera” and the images on the right are from “Repo Men”. Coincidence? We think not.

Giving The Kardashians A Run For Their Money

We were amazed to see a lot less of Kirstie Alley as she showed up with a svelter body at The Runaways Premiere on March 17th in New York City, but she brought her adorable and extremely polite kids, True and Lily, to make up the difference.

Is Perez Hilton Jealous Of Kristin Stewart?

It’s all so transparent. Calling her “K Stew” and saying she’s gross. Granted, Kristin is a bonafide Rock and Roll tomboy, but she was poised and pretty at The Runaways Premiere on March 17th in NYC hanging with her bestie, Dakota Fanning.

Sarah Jessica Parker Launches her Fashion Collection

Sarah Jessica Parker, President and Chief Creative Officer of Halston Heritage attended the line’s launch at the Bay in Toronto last night.

We’re mad for the first collection designed by SJP, adore the melange jersey shirred strapless cocktail dress in amethyst which costs $350 and live for her Parker’s Cleo small sack bag in metal mesh which retails for $450.
